Architecture Decision
The Two-Repo Solution (Theme vs. Content)
I hit a wall today where my local Git commits weren’t showing up in my repository. The root cause? I was trying to treat my Theme (Visuals) and my Content (Data) as the same entity. They are not.
The Separation of Concerns
We have officially split the Sugartown codebase into two distinct repositories to prevent “Monolith Drift.”
The “Stale Pointer” Incident
The confusion arose because my local folder was named sugartown_cms but my Git remote was still pointing to second-brain-cms. This “Stale Pointer” meant I was pushing code to a ghost location.
The Fix: We renamed the GitHub repository to match the architectural intent (sugartown-content-engine) and updated the local Git remotes to align. The Digital Factory is now clean, decoupled, and ready for scaling.
