Sugartown Platform Roadmap (updated)
§ 01 — Nomenclature update
This node predates the current stack. "Gems" are now nodes. The WordPress pipeline became Sanity. The Knowledge Graph is now the visual layer over nodes, articles, and case studies — not the archive itself. The AI's instinct to build a graph instead of writing a comparison chart was the correct call (so sayeth Claude, an AI agent).
Sugartown is a content-as-code platform that treats ideas, artifacts, and career data as structured systems—authored in code, published automatically, and visualized intentionally.
This roadmap describes the evolution of the platform as a whole. Individual subsystems (such as the Knowledge Graph) maintain their own detailed roadmaps elsewhere.
Platform Pillars
Why the Sequence Matters
The platform is intentionally layered:
Structure first (Headless CMS) Reuse next (Resume Factory) Stabilize presentation (Design System) Visualize meaning (Visualization Engine)
Each layer compounds the value of the previous one. No project exists in isolation.
Platform Roadmap
Now (0–3 Months)
Stabilize the headless publishing pipeline Normalize taxonomy and metadata across all content types Harden the design system for accessibility and light/dark parity Establish the Knowledge Graph as a first-class content surface
Next (3–6 Months)
Expand visualization outputs and comparative views Unify filtering and discovery across platform content Introduce higher-level abstractions for projects and themes Reduce manual polish without removing human authorship
Later (6–12 Months)
Weighted relationships between content nodes More expressive and interactive visualizations Deeper automation of career artifacts and publishing flows Selective frontend decoupling experiments where justified
This roadmap communicates intent, not task-level execution. Detailed plans live in PRDs and code.
